The user fills out a form within the local mobile application to select emails and SMS messages for opting into the notification service.

Opt-In Page

On submission, an initial request is sent to the phone numbers such as the following message:

Your SmartGuard Smart Shutoff: House Unit #1 device has been registered with this phone number as a subscriber. Text STOP to unsubscribe.

This service can then be used to alert users to events from the Smart Shutoff device.
